She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Gaskell and Alice Wallace Gaskell; and her husband Dan E. Hartley Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Dawn Gabrielli (David) of Murphy, Dan E. Hartley Jr. of Copenhagen and Dodd E. Hartley (Rhonda) of Fort Valley, Georgia; her brother Bob Gaskell (Judy) of Port Charlotte, Florida; her grandchildren, Nicolas Gabrielli (Kelsey), Benjamin Gabrielli (Jenni), David Worley (Whitney), Daniel Hartley (Paige), Cierra Hartley, Elli Hartley and Ethan Hartley; and her great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Axle Gabrielli. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Edna J. Hartley to Gideons International, P.O. Box 164 Murphy, North Carolina 28906.
