Edna Ruth Allen Barnett Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Ruth Allen Barnett of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellard Allen and Flora Hyatt Allen; her husband S. Franklin Barnett; and her siblings, Madelyn Miller, Marjorie Anderson, Virginia "Jean" Elliott, Pat Prince, Joby McHan, Paul, Jade and Wimp Allen.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Barnett McDonald (Brian) of Murphy and S. Darryl Barnett (Libby) of Grovetown, GA; her sister Marie Bryant of Blairsville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Trevis Hicks, Jadrien Barnett Beaver and Taylor Barnett; and her great grandchildren, Dylan and Jacelynn Beaver. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requested that those who attended wear masks.
