He is survived by: his wife Dongmei Jones of Murphy; his children, Rachel Backstrom, Angela Jones, John Michael Jones, Doug Jones and Benny Jones; his stepgrandson Henry; his grandchildren, Maddox Jones, McKenna Backstrom, John Dimond, Chelsey Jones and Martin Hickey; and also Tiger (Jingzhi) of Washington, D. C.. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
