She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Barnes and Irene Deal Barnes; her son Daniel Barnes; and her siblings, Larry Barnes and Louise Barnes.

She is survived by: her husband James Kitchens; her children, Jennifer Barnes, Crystal Graves, Cynthia Kitchens, Brittney Kitchens, Bethany Kitchens and James Edward Kitchens; and her sisters, Kathy Richie, Kelly Stiles and Barbara Matheson.
