We announce the death of Inez Moore Pickelsimer of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 92. Inez will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Marson Moore and Pearl Moore of Murphy; her husband Tom Picklesimer of Copper Hill, TN.; and her siblings, R. M., Ferd, Wayne, Luke Moore, Grace Galloway of Epworth, Allie Christopher of Epworth, Vallie Houston of Epworth, Georgia, Wilma Leatherwood and Frances Gulley of Murphy, NC..
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Parris Ann Moore and Bobby Leatherwood of Murphy, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:50 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy (4334 US-64, Murphy, NC 28906). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery (481 Upper Peachtree Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Inez to Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
