It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Glenn Thackston of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Gordon Thackston and Charlotte Dianne Schmiedeberg Thackston; and his siblings, Christa Davis and Marlon Conner. He is survived by: his children, Courtney Poulson and James Thackston III of Woodstock; his sister Tina Queen of Woodstock; and his grandchild Cyan Thackston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
