Jean M. Foxworthy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 97, Jean M. Foxworthy of Murphy, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Groendyke and Nora Ward Groendyke; her husband Charles P. Foxworthy; and her siblings, Jim Groendyke and Nancy Emmert.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Foxworthy (Ann) of Wrentham, Massachusetts, Mary Lou Hatfield (Stephen) of Murphy, Dana Jane Mace (Terry) of Asheville and John Foxworthy (Ninia) of Maryville, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Emily Cortes of Andrews, Jacob Hatfield of Murphy, Shannon Randall of Nebo and Courtney Twitty of South Carolina. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; and several nephews; and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Murphy First Baptist Church (517 Hiwassee St, Murphy, NC 28906).
