He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cecil Phillips and Dorothy Sexton Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Susie Phillips, Brenda Phillips (Paul Robinson) and Bryan Phillips (Ronda); his grandchildren, Beth McDonald, Joseph Hayden Phillips and Carson Phillips; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Graves (Westley) of Murphy, NC, Bailey Brown of Murphy, NC and Elynor McDonald of Murphy, NC; and his nieces, Traci Byrd (Gordon) of Tennessee and Melissa Harness of Tennessee.
