It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Keener Watson of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Keener and Emma Keener; and her brother Michael Keener. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Watson; her children, Kellee Watson (Wes Johnson) and Joseph Watson (Heather) of Murphy; her grandsons, John Parker and Brady Watson; her sisters-in-law, Denise Keener and Karen Watson (Flip); her niece Nikol Edwards; and her nephews, Jonathan Watson, Andy Keener and Aaron Keener.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Joy Keener Watson to the Willing Hands Circle, Murphy First United Methodist Church, PO Box 86, Murphy, NC 28906.
