He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul George and Margaret Chewning McKinley; and his brother Scott McKinley. He is survived by: his wife Donna Farrow McKinley; his children, Lisa Hood (Rich) of Tennessee and Greg McKinley (Kelli) of Florida; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Willow and Wylie McKinley; his brother-in-law Sam Farrow (Donna); his nephew Miles McKinley of Florida; and his nieces, Kelli Ambrosino of Marble, NC and Stacie Farrow (Oliver Kunz) of Washington.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel (138 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ranger United Methodist Church (156 Ranger Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
