It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Edwards of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Bill Edwards; her parents, David Park and Beatrice Chrien Park; and her sisters, Florence Weiner and Sandra Park.

She is survived by : her daughter Gerri Franklin (Dean) of Murphy; her stepchildren, Teresa Ann Martin (Robert) of Richland Hills, Texas and William Dennis Edwards III (Barbara) of Milledgeville, Georgia; her daughter Linda Burgess (Jim) of Murphy; her grandchildren, Bryan Sisley, Melissa Chapter, William Edwards IV, Samantha Edwards, Anthony Martin, Heather Martin and Jennifer Sapp; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Jake, Joshua, Madyson, Jaden, Drake and Cason. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Marlene Edwards to the Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
