Marlin leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Marlin’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Marlin will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeb McMahan and Pauline Mashburn McMahan; and his siblings, Annalee Wade, Joan Pendergraph and Lowell McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Stanley McMahan of Nantahala; his sons, Scott McMahan (Randi) of Nantahala and David McMahan (Jenny) of Nantahala; his sister Linda Townsend of Thomasville; and his grandchildren, Chase, Summer and Noah McMahan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (126 Cherry St, Andrews, NC 28901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (10 Fairview Church Rd, Blairsville, GA 30512).
