We announce the death of Mary Rose Bishop Brock of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Mary Rose will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Bishop and Julia Rhodes Bishop; and her siblings, Chancey "Bud" Bishop, Doris B. Carrell, Athalene B. Jones, Hubert Bishop, Hilburn Bishop, Haylon Bishop, Ruth B. Houston, Marie B. Andrews and Herman Ray Bishop.
She is survived by: her daughter Roxan; her son-in-law Paul Andrews of Murphy, NC; her son David Brock of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Remi Canales, Hendrix Canales, Olivia Rose DeRoss, Lillian DeRoss and Merritt Brock; and her pet Charlie. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
