With heavy hearts, we announce the death of McCoy Jc (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on February 11, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCoy and Dora Hughes McCoy; his daughter Darlene Hemphill; and his siblings, Clyde "Bill", Lloyd, Richard, Tim McCoy and Frances Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Chastain McCoy; his sons, Dennis McCoy (Trisha), Johnny McCoy and Jan McCoy (Tamara); his son-in-law David Hemphill; his sisters, Ruby Queen, Shirley Simond (Jimmy) and Grace McGilvery; and his grandchildren, Jason McCoy (Calon), Sam McCoy (Sami), LaBreeska McCoy, Rajun McCoy (Thomas Lodwick), Cody McCoy Hanley, Hope McCoy, Travis Hemphill (Kayla), Lacey Roth (Jason), Aiden Williams (Tristan), Gabe McCoy and Neena McCoy. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #96, PO Box 712, Murphy, NC 28906.
