With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Priscilla Guffey (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bedford Fidelis Chambers and Florence Bell Garrett Chambers; her siblings, Laura (Howard Carroll), Delilah (Roger Hulsey), Charlie (Florence Chambers), Edward Chambers, Nannie Sue Chambers, Earl (Rose Chambers), Fred (Faye Chambers) and Grady (Dottie Chambers); her former husband Thomas Frank Guffey, Sr.; her daughter Virginia Lee Guffey Adams; her sons-in-law, Alvin Adams (Cider) and F. David Slagle; her great grandchildren, Andrew and William Adams; her parents-in-law, Wade H. Guffey and Ruth Inez Guffey; and her brothers-in-law, Rev. Hal Guffey and Howard Guffey.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Gene Guffey (Faye) of Peachtree, NC, Ruth Guffey Holt of Birmingham, AL and Betsy Ross Guffey of Easley, SC.; her nephews, Allen Chambers, Buck Chambers, Gary Chambers, Mike Chambers, Richard Chambers, Sheridan Chambers, Grady Earl Chambers and James Carroll; and her great grandchildren, Trey Tatham, Trent Tatham, Aiden Gilroy, Hunter Gilroy, Tucker Slagle, Henry Slagle of Mox Hoy, T. J, Massey, Matthew Miller, Sean Miller, Justin Adams, Carson Adams and Honorary Pallbearers. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
