He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Donnie McMahan Stroupe; his brothers, Robert Stroupe, Rev. Jim Stroupe and Dan Stroupe; and also David.
He is survived by: his wife Cloria Wilson Stroupe; his children, Kimberly Stroupe Congdon (Greg) of Fletcher and Paul Douglas Stroupe II (Stephanie) of Brasstown; his grandchildren, Cory Stroupe and Ashlyn Stroupe; his brother Ted Stroupe of Alexander; and his caregivers, Janice and Cindy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
