She was predeceased by : her parents, Harley Golden and Florence Ballew Golden; her husbands, Clifton Whitener and Jack Dixon; and her sisters, Arlene Withrow (Earl) and Edwina Hughes (Ben).

She is survived by : her son Steve Whitener (Debbie); her brother Hayden Richard Golden; her granddaughters, Stephanie Jennings (Casey) and Rachel Whitener; and her great grandchild Ethan McLean. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
