Richard John Popdan Obituary

Richard John Popdan, age 72 of Murphy, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. Richard was born in Aurora, IL to the late John and Louise Mathey Popdan. He was a school teacher in Charleston, SC. Richard enjoyed wood carving and his Spyder motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Popdan; son, Chris Popdan and wife, Melissa; daughter, Courtney Friel and husband, John; brother, Gary Popdan and wife, Patricia; four grandchildren, Slade Schexnayder, Olivia Thompson, Heather Friel and Lane Friel; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
