Rodgers Rhodes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodgers Rhodes (Murphy, North Carolina), who passed away on November 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Rhodes and Lonia Garrett Rhodes; his son Christopher Gamble; his siblings, Roy Rhodes, Tina Pendergrass, Stella Rhodes and Alta Murphy; his great grandchildren, Appalonn Ashe and Lincoln Ashe; his wives, Shirley Elrod Rhodes and Linda Phillips Rhodes; and his daughter-in-law Carol Rhodes (Scottie Harris).

He is survived by: his children, Donnie, Debbie Rhodes, Connie, Phil Evans, Eunice, Dennis Ashe, Mitchell Rhodes, Sonia Rhodes, Bryan, Tammy Valle (Juan) and Jamie; his grandchildren, Tasha, Chris Searcy, Dennis, Tab Ashe, Kiwi, Stephen (Tammi), Nick, Logan, Linze, Andrew, Kaleb, Austin, Hunter, Brandi (Ryan), Tabby, Ford, Sissy, Eavey, Brennan, Mayan, Ammorilla, Marisol, Julian, Greyson, Blake, Remi, Ella, Tatum, Willow, Maisley and Harlynn; his niece Rosie; and his nephew Tommy Rogers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Rev. Rodgers Rhodes to Meals on Wheels.
