He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Finley Sr. and Bessie Craig Bates. He is survived by: his siblings, Ramona Hogsed, Delores Beaver and Charles Bates Jr.; his daughters, Glenda Bates Stiles (Gary) of Murphy, Rhonda Bates Conard (Bil) of Weeki Wachee and Dena Bates (Tony Jones); and his grandchildren, Krystal Baumann, Brandon Stiles, Keisha Biblis, Richie McCoy, Jason and Steven Conard. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
