She was predeceased by: her husband David Avery; her parents, Guy Eller and Ethel Ledford Eller; and her siblings, Dorothy Hamby, Susie Ledford, Goldman Eller, Willie Eller, Boyd Eller and Guindle Eller.
She is survived by: her stepson Johnathan Avery of Murphy, NC; her sisters, Willa Mae Allen of Murphy, NC, Shirley Hensley (Owen) of Turtletown, TN and Lorraine Kilpatrick (Richard) of Murphy, NC; and her close friend Joan Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Shelby Eller Avery to the Liberty Cemetery, 340 Liberty Road Murphy, NC 28906 Attn: Arthur West.
