Shirley Jane Miller Obituary

We announce the death of Shirley Jane Miller of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 92. Shirley Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Neville and Margaret Neville; her husband Robert C. Miller; her sister Nancy; her daughter-in-law Valerie Maxwell; and her grandchildren, Keri Kirby and Justin Walling.

She is survived by: her pet Charles; her children, Larry Maxwell (Marianne), Chuck Maxwell (Debbie), Susan Foster, Beverly Kirby and Sherry Nivison; and her niece Brenda Soale (Brent). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; her nine great grandchildren; her two great great grandchildren; and one grandnephew.
