He is survived by: his wife Sandra Roberts Hiers; his children, Linda Higbe of Somerset, KY, Troy Hiers (Christena Livingston) of Murphy, NC, Buzz Allen Hiers (Valerie Smith) and Trina Lynn Henson (Ken Henson) of Titusville, FL; his brother Henry Hiers of Pickens, SC; his grandchildren, Tommy Ryan Hiers and Angela Marie Hiers; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Hiers and Alexander Lloyd Hiers.
