He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Clay and Hazel Clay (Gittings); and his sisters, Marietta (Barnholt) and Judith (Stewart). He is survived by: his wife Toni Jolene Clay; his children, Victor L. Clay Jr. (Nicole) and Vicky McDaniels (Don); his sister Lea Stutler; his grandchildren, Ashley, Shaunessy and Seth David; and his aunt Betty Clay of Murphy, N. C.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with one great grandchild and many great nieces and nephews.
