He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Edward and Mary Lora Leatherwood Brendle. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Brendle of Murphy; his stepdaughters, Becky Martin of Asheville and Helen Russell of Murphy; and his siblings, Joan Zimmerman of Hayesville, Helen Hogsed of Burlington, Cathy Brendle of Murphy, Kenneth Brendle of Blairsville and Claude Brendle (Karen) of Hayesville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
