With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Cleaston Hawkins of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Columbus Hawkins and Lizzie Jane Rhodes Hawkins; his wife Ruth Long Hawkins; and his siblings, Helen Hawkins, Mildred Hughes, Bonnie Ruth Hawkins, Patricia Nell and Ray Hawkins.

He is survived by : his children, Mike (Betty Hawkins) of Murphy, NC and Roxie (Billy Long) of Morganton, GA; his grandchildren, Chase Hawkins (Lety), David Long (Jessica), Kimberly Deaver (Drew) and Casey Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Hudson Long, Gunner Deaver, Luke Hawkins, Paisley Deaver, Hannah Hawkins and Halle Long; and his sister Donna Truelove of Buford, GA..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
