It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Woody Baxter of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 19, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow W. Baxter, Sr. and Judy Sparklin Baxter. He is survived by: his wife Emily Baxter of Murphy; his children, Patricia Langley, Morgan Narciso, Jamie Pearson, Tammy Carr, Christina Ware, Michelle Holbrooks, Rebecca Sneed, Emily Hamby, Alan Firlein, John Pearson and Eddie Walker; and his sisters, Mary Roberts of Heflin and Kay Baxter-Pearson of Fredrica, Delaware. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, five great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ivie Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
