It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Ward of Nashville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Lee Whitehurst and Alice Brothers Whitehurst; and her husband Lynn Randall Ward. She is survived by: her children, Brian Christopher Ward (Tobey Dellinger Ward) and Bethany Ward Ramsey; her grandchildren, Ellen Sidney Ramsey, Carsyn Gabrielle Ward, Benjamin Payne Ramsey and Delaney Isabella Ward; and her siblings, Faye Whitehurst Sawyer, Claude Abbott Whitehurst and Douglas Wilson Whitehurst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Methodist Church Foster and Adoption Ministry or Nashville Methodist Church Lynn Ward Memorial Scholarship.
