He was predeceased by: his father Roy Collins; his former wife Jennifer Bradford Collins; and his brothers, Ferron Collins, Ricky Collins, Timothy Collins and Billy Collins.

He is survived by: his mother Floy Jane Bradley Collins of Nebo; his wife Emma Angel Collins; his children, Jon Paul Collins of Chesnee, SC, Sarah Scott (Abram) of Union, SC, Kristin Collins Clontz (Tim Yelton) of Nebo, Stephen Collins (Kelsie) of Inman, SC and Autumn Collins; his stepsons, Robert Silvers of Yancey and Matthew Wheeler (Ashley) of Yancey; and his brothers, Kenneth Collins (Theresa) of Nebo and Roger Collins of Morganton. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
