He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe E. Boyd and Devon Fender Boyd; his brother Tony Boyd; and his niece Courtney Boyd. He is survived by: his caregiver Cynthia Barrier; his children, Nicole Benfield, Joan Boyd Yount, Jason Boyd (Tabatha) and Justin Boyd (Danielle); his siblings, Melody Burnette (Steve), Patricia Boyd (Tony Clark) and Regan Boyd; and his grandchildren, Nate, Isaiah, Braxton, Gracelynn, Elijah, Aliyah, Kolton and Dezlyn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
