He was predeceased by: his parents, James Comer and Ruby Stir Comer. He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth "Lesia" Randolph; his significant other's daughters, Arietta and Sierra; his daughter Madison Comer of Hickory, NC; his siblings, Jon Comer (Michelle) of Conover, OH and Elizabeth Bredenfoerder of Springfield, OH; his nieces, Amanda Crago of Springfield, OH and Ruby Claire Huffman (Drake) of Saint Paris, OH; his nephew Samuel Comer of Conover, OH.; and also, Clayton, Abigail, Millie and Ronnie.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Dave's memory to Cancer Research or McDowell County Schools Athletics.
