She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gordon Jaynes and Rosalee Edwards Jaynes; her daughter Rita Charlene Lawing; and her sisters, Janet Noblitt and Reba Hollifield.
She is survived by: her husband Forrest David Wise; her children, Sandra Wise of Nebo and Forrest Jeffrey Wise of Avery County; her grandchildren, Morris Lawing (Whitney), Forrest Wise (Becky), Jamie Russell, Stephanie Wise and Cody Winegardner; and her brother James Gordon Jaynes, Jr. of Nebo. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westmoreland Chapel (198 S Main St, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
