He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C. Townsend, IV and Dorothy Reeves Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Jane Townsend; his daughter Kerry Avery (Richard); and his grandchildren, Annika Avery and Chase Avery. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
