She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smith and Nora Rutherford Scott; and her brother Bob Rutherford. She is survived by: her daughter Tosha Nicole Rutherford; and her brother Lester Rutherford (Ruby). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
