He is survived by: his wife Ann Walden Powell; his children, Ted Powell of Hickory and Jennifer Lehmann (Rich) of Los Angeles, California; his stepdaughter Renee W. Reitzel; his grandchildren, Dalton Powell and Georgia Lehmann; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Reitzel and Callie Reitzel; his brothers, Jeff Powell of Mt. Airy, Andy Powell of Nebo and Chris Powell (Angee) of Old Fort; his siblings-in-law, Frankie, Faye Marlowe and Gail Hensley; his close friends, Mary Lowdermilk and Marisa Lowdermilk; and his pet Nick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
