She was predeceased by : her parents, John Lee Bledsoe and Hortence Bradley Bledsoe; her sons, Mickey, Doug and Terry Benge; her siblings, Gene, Larry Bledsoe and Josie Norman; and her son-in-law Clyde "Ronnie" Fox.

She is survived by : her children, Penny Benge Fox of Morganton, Ann Minish of Nebo, Robin Benge (Cheryl) of Nebo and Jerry Benge (Debbie) of Marion; her sisters, Ruth Noland of Marion, Shirley Hicks of Marion and Linda Damauth of Florida; and her grandchildren, Kim, Steven, Doug (Theresa), Cathy, John, Erick, Greg and Alecia. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

She volunteered at Autumn Care of Marion and the Red Cross in Marion, in which she donated blood as well as her time to the organization.
