He was predeceased by: his wife Eunell Hood; his parents, Den Hood and Lois Hood; and his siblings, Delmus Hood, Allie Hood, Morris Hood, Clarice Hood, Mazell Oswalt and Mada Oswalt.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Smith (Mike) and Glenn Hood (Jennifer); his brother Euston Hood (Sophie); and his grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Chelsea Smith, Austin Hood and Payton Hurst. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Park Christian Church (905 Carolina Ave, Trent Woods, NC 28562). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, it was Bobby's wish that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Croatan Church of Christ, in care of Peter and Linda Povich, 3446 Old Airport Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
