He is survived by: his wife Sharon Taylor-Fernandes; his sons, Braxton Francis Fernandes Jr. of Rhode Island, Darnell Fernandes of Maine and Andrew Fernandes of Raleigh, NC; and his stepchildren, Toniya Taylor-Richardson (Treymayne) of Bailey, NC, Troy L. Taylor (Margaret) of Raleigh, NC and Donna Barrett of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
