She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Lee Norfleet and Martha Polly Bryant. She is survived by: her children, James C. Coward, Charndra A. Coward and Maranda Coward Staten. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Cool Springs FWB Church (586 Ernul Brick Rd, Vanceboro, NC 28586). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cool Springs Free Will Baptist Church (586 Ernul Brick Rd, Vanceboro, NC 28586). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Gaskins Family Cemetery (933 Piney Neck Rd, Vanceboro, NC 28586).
