Christopher Lea Wear Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2025, at the age of 80, Christopher Lea Wear of New Bern, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Christopher Lea Wear to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenora Madeline (White) and David Walker Wear III; his pet Kasey; his cousins, John Mitchell and David Mitchell; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Balla and Terry Nicolini.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Hogan; his daughter Kiersten Jones (Matt); his stepgranddaughter Jennifer; his mother-in-law Ellen Hogan; his brother David Walker Wear IV (Nancy); and his nieces, Tami Wear and Kris Wear Strain (John). He is also survived by cousins, as well as brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (3005 Country Club Rd, New Bern, NC 28562). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to ASPCA, St. Jude Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
