We announce the death of Curtis Ervin King Sr. of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 85. Curtis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ervin King and Bertha King; his spouse Teruko; his children, Curtis King Jr. and Mary King; his grandchildren, Jennifer Baker (Michael), Julian (Samantha), William (Lauren), Eric Wilcutt and Donald Wilcutt; and his great grandchildren, Alessa, Mya, Dixie, Kyler, Alex Baker, Cole Fischer and Layla Fischer.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Assembly of God (401 U. S. Hwy 70 W, Havelock, NC 28532).
