He was predeceased by: his parents, Denton Robinson Dodd and Elizabeth O'Kane Dodd. He is survived by: his wife Karen Elizabeth Dodd (Kale); his daughter Christine Grotheer (Duane); and his grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Grotheer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (400 New St, New Bern, NC 28560).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Department in New Bern, NC, commemorating Denton's love for music and his dedication to the church community.
