We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Elaine Ruth Hiner of New Bern, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Sophia and Edwin Allen Carlson; her husband James Randall "Randy" Hiner, Sr.; and her brother Ed Carlson of San Antonio, TX.. She is survived by: her children, Adrienne Hiner Cole (Walter) of Raleigh, James Randall Hiner, Jr. (Ali Given) of New Bern and Lee Carlson Hiner (Dana) of New Bern; her grandchildren, Will Cole, Sundin Cole, Anderson Cole of Raleigh, Kennedy Hiner and Winn Hiner of New Bern; her sister Claire Carlson of Charleston, SC.; and her in-laws, Lee Carlson of San Antonio, TX, John and Beth Hiner of New Bern.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Garber United Methodist Church (4201 Country Club Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingswood Afterschool Program at Garber United Methodist Church or Religious Community Services of New Bern.
