We announce the death of Elsie Mae Collins (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 94. Elsie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clem White and Mary White; her husband Edgar Collins; and her brother Elton White. She is survived by: her children, Frances Bell (Kenneth), Edward Collins (Barbara), Dalton Collins (Becky) and Brenda Washburn (Joey); her grandchildren, Wayne Bell (Angela), Beth Scott (Joe), Mark Collins, Amber Purifoy (Kevin), Sarah Moore (Adam), Christina Crain (Will) and Melissa Senn (Jason); her great grandchildren, McKenzie Bell, Mason Bell, Andrew Scott (Treasure), Allison Scott, Aubrey Collins, Olivia Collins, Jackson Purifoy, Lucy Moore, Matthew Crain, Makayla Senn, Caleb Senn and Maci Senn; and her sister Frances Thomas. She is also survived by many loving family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
