She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph B. McDaniel and Geneva Griffin McDaniel; her brother Joseph B. "Brownie" McDaniel; her husband James R. Lee Sr.; and her son Joseph Davis Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Lee (Debbie) and Lauri Nepil (Garret); her grandchildren, Amanda Mayo, Amber Larue, Storm Kwiatkowski, Sarah White and Emily White; and her great grandchildren, Joseph Martin, Avery Larue, Aleister Desilva, Sebastyen Desilva, Lucy Kwiatkowski, Kylee Litton, Trinity Litton and Luka Hubbard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Greenleaf Memorial Park (900 River Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
