He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl A. "Big Happy" Smith and Frances Smallwood Smith; his sister Judy Smith Pearson (Guy); his niece Leigh Margaret Martin (Jason); his nephew Hart Pearson (Lauren); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lilly Martin, McCall Martin, Jack Martin, Trip Pearson and Anna Noelle Pearson; and his longtime love Lois "Jib" Spears.
