We announce the death of Ina Patricia Willis of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Ina will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Willis and Iova Lewis Willis; her son John Roark Willis; her brother Kenneth Willis; and her brother-in-law Milton Corey.
She is survived by: her husband Linwood "Lin" Willis; her daughter Ina Michelle Shaffer (Robert "Bob" Shaffer); her grandchildren, Ashley Noel Rhodes (Cody Rhodes) and Robert Willis Shaffer "Bobby"; her great grandchildren, Arayla Michelle Rhodes, Rory Grace Rhodes and Aspen May Shaffer; and her sisters, Joan Lewis (Richard Lewis) and Mary Corey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Stroke Association, or the American Heart Association.
