She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl L. Gilbert, Sr. and Bertha Curtis Gilbert; her husband Mearl Hatley; her siblings, Preston, Glenn, Albert Gilbert, Lettie Moretz, Emma Whisnant and Carolyn Trivette; her son-in-law Nick Metts; and her granddaughter Kendall Metts.
She is survived by: her children, Lee Hatley, Melba Metts (Nick) and Randy Hatley; her siblings, Carl Gilbert, Jr. and Frances Marler; her grandchildren, Ryan German, Danah Dunn, David Dyson, Jr., Angie Rudisill, Jamie Hatley, Dillon Hatley and Brittney Hatley; and her great grandchildren, Kayla Tomchesson, Zackary Dunn, David Dyson III, Carson Dyson, Devin Huffman, Colton Hatley, Logan Rudisill and Lincoln Hatley.
