He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Viola Smith; and his daughter Patti Smith Foreman. He is survived by: his son James "Jimmy" Smith (Linda). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the New Life Church (2911 Old Cherry Point Rd, New Bern, NC 28560). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
