It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Lincoln Hawkins (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lincoln Hawkins and Hazel Hawkins; his brother James "Red Eye" Hawkins; and his uncle Bobby Mercer. He is survived by: his sister Sarah Hawkins-Schwarz (Rob); his nieces, Jennifer Hawkins (Donnie) and Jessica O'Dell (Josh); his great-nieces, Graceyn and Teagan; and his sister-in-law Johnnie Hawkins. He is also survived by many loving family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cove City Christian Church (301 W Railroad St, Cove City, NC 28523). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
